Hello everyone!
This blog
is to explain the miracle that has occurred in my life in the last 15 months. I
went from a single girl who worked and studied full time and dreamed of her
great love to a wife and mother (yes !!) waiting for her first baby, the fruit
of our miraculous and blessed union.
I certainly
would not be where I am today, with whom I am if it were not for the grace of
God.
And to
close, as Matt (my husband) says: "If you want to make God laugh, tell him
your plans."
Welcome!
Well, to
understand how such a great miracle happens (redundant that phrase, I know) in
a person's life, one needs to understand a little about her life and those
involved. So I'll start by telling you a little bit about how my life was and
why it was a miracle (because you must be wondering: "if so many couples
know each other every day and get marry,
why was this a miracle?)
Explaining
the first question: Yes, God can work miracles in one person's life at a time,
just as he did with St. Paul on his way to Damascus. However, I believe most
miracles require a lot of prayer and trust in the Lord. Among other things.
So let's
go. I was born into a practicing Christian-Catholic family where the norms of
piety were a habit (wonderful one I must say!): The Mass on Sundays and days of
precept (at least), the rosary in the family, especially on trips, the 3 Hail
Marys at night and so on. Praying has always been a constant in our family and
certainly the greatest and best legacy our parents have left us.
And for you
to understand how serious the religion thing was and also to relax a bit I'll
start by telling you a curious episode.
Mass on
Sundays was mandatory at home when we became 7 years old. And the fun part was
that we usually went on Saturday night and then we went out for pizza afterwards!
Do you want a better way to persuade a child to pray? Ahahaha
However, we
were not always so keen on the program. I remember one time I had a problem
with that. I was about 10 years old, it was my friend´s birthday and her parents always made "the
party" for her. Do you know those little children's parties that are the
happening of the year? Yeah. I then went on Saturday after lunch. When I was at
the best part of the party, I saw my mother at the gate. I thought, "It's
not possible that she came to get me !! No way Im leaving. " Well, she was getting close
and calmly, as always, she said: "Elisa, let's go to mass. Everyone is waiting
in the car. " Well, what came next is unnecessary to tell ... ahahaha. But
I learned the lesson: "When it comes to mass, my fried, there is no
bargain at home."
And to
finish for today, why was it a miracle? Well, because I did not ask A husband
for God, I asked THE husband. And that's exactly what happened ... but then
I'll dedicate a post just about it.
It's just
for today. But it's only beginning.
God bless, talk soon!
